Sarah Schmidt, a sophomore in business arts management, happily poses behind her first installation for her Material Drawing class. She says “The project is called ‘Tinygiant.’ We had to create an interactive sculpture piece and I wanted to use the opportunity to do something meaningful. There is so much tension revolving women and their rights at the moment, as well as the sexual objectification of women, that felt like a natural direction for me.” This project, along with many others, can be viewed in Thaw.
