Strength

Junior film major La Charles Trask released a powerful video featuring a poem of Lauryn Nesbitt and breathtaking vocals performed by Rachel Dupard that emphasizes the Black Lives Matter movement in America. Trask acted and directed it, and released it on Feb. 28 in honor of the last day of Black History Month. This collaboration with Nesbitt was first thought up in in the summer of 2016; it has been in the works since then. “We’re in a time artists are crucial to society for us to tell our story on things that are difficult to talk about,” Trask says. “By creating this video I wanted to create a long lasting impression on the world.”
