Playing time

This week, Jackalope Magazine visited Michael Dransfield, a freshman Digital Arts major, as he practiced his piano playing skills in a quiet rehearsal room in Benildus. Dransfield’s feelings throughout the week determine how much time he spends playing the piano. He tries to practice at least once a week for an hour or more, but this week he has been back three times. Dransfield enjoys playing musical scores, which often come from movies and video games. Although Dransfield has been playing for a little more than 10 years, he has never written his own material. “In being able to recreate these songs, I am in a way paying respect to those before me.”
