The Living Wall
Tishman saw a surge in nocturnal activity during its 24-hour drawing collaboration. As time went on the wall became a reflection of the participants–colors and figures evolved and melded over the course of the event as space disappeared. Rather than the intimidation of a blank canvas, the collaborative nature of the event meant the growing mural served as inspiration. Once full, the paper gained its second wind as collage and soon the seething mass shifted form again. Photography student Sam Podio captured the work as it unfolded.
