Beyond Bluegrass

On Nov. 15, the music space at O’Shaughnessy Performance Space was temporarily remodeled into a music lounge. Couches, love seats and Christmas lights lined the room as a captivated crowd watched The Hard Road Trio perfrom. The Hard Road Trio is a bluegrass group that fuses many musical tastes into the mix. The band is comprised of Chris Sanders on lead vocals and guitar, Steve Smith ripping up the mandolin and Anne Luna dropping groovy bass lines. The unique sound this band produces comes from a perfect fusion of different country tastes rolled into one. If you typically dislike folk music or other types of blue grass, I suggest you give The Hard Road Trio a listen. This was their last stop on a long tour across the country, so unfortunately you missed your chance for a live show (until next time!).
