Cupid is Stupid
More than 40 SFUAD students gathered Feb. 15 to celebrate the joy of being single with food, music and live performances by students and a comedian at the Alumni Hall.
Cupid is Stupid, organized by the Students Programming board, directed by Ramiro Leal and Joshua Billiter, and produced under the supervision of Campus Life director John Rodriguez, included a presentation by magician and comedian Richard Steele.
“The Student Programming Board wanted to have a night where every student could share and enjoy,” Leal says. “With the Cupid is Stupid theme we tried to promote the idea that you must love yourself before loving someone else.”
This was the first time for this event, and after the great reception the organization is considering making it an annual event after St. Valentine’s Day.
“The SFUAD community enjoyed the idea and we had a huge amount of people enjoying the night with friends,” Leal says.
