V-Day Drag Show

The Jewel Box Cabaret presents its drag and burlesque show this Saturday, Feb. 14 featuring several SFUAD students and staff performers. The doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 8:30 p.m. at the Maria Benitez Theatre housed within the Lodge Hotel at 750 N St Francis Dr. Santa Fe, NM. Talent includes drag personas Coco Caliente, Lin Z, Lucille Furr, Chastity St. Jaymes, Dexter, Marie Antoinette Du Barry, Krishalicious, and Guava and dancers Julaine Williams, Ernie Olives and Amy Bingen. The show promises to be a season kick off for the books.

For those of you who dislike Valentine’s Day, this is not a romance-centric show despite it taking place on the holiday. With a large variety of performances, JBC promises an unique experience of “gender illusion, musical comedy, and burlesque.” For those of you who do like Valentine’s Day, however, you’ll find it a fun date night nonetheless.

While student tickets were available to students, they are now sold out. For future shows, however, the Jewel Box Cabaret offers 10 tickets for students at a first come first serve basis with your student ID. Otherwise, general admission tickets are $15 and VIP tickets are $20. Credit cards will not be accepted as this is a cash only show. Tips for performers are encouraged.
