COLORS

In our eyes we have light receptors that are able to sense a spectrum of light. Color is perceived depending on the wavelength of this spectrum. As visual artists, color is an important part of what we create. We can measure color from lightness, saturation and hue. Lightness is how bright the color is. Saturation is how strong it is. Hue is the color. The sun has a high brightness, but a low saturation. An apple has a normal lightness, but a strong saturation and a hue of red.
