Awake but still dreaming

Paul Wagner is a graduating music major at Santa Fe University of Art and Design. His April 17 show at Zephyr, “Awake but still dreaming,” combined both music and painting. The paintings were hung on the wall surrounding the viewer while Wagner played three sets of different music: percussion, acoustic and a loop station with electric guitar set. His acoustic guitar set was a folk sounding set, but the vibe changed to a groover beat when he played the loop station by piling on rhythmic patterns.
