On April 5, Jackalope Magazine caught up with Shelby Westika, a Studio Arts junior as he begins to put together a project for Outdoor Vision Fest. This is the Second project he has worked on today—the first was a sculpture that will also be in Outdoor Vision Fest. For this second project he will paint three landscapes that will be used as a background for the photographs he plans on taking.”This is probably the easiest part of my project,” Westika says. “Tomorrow when I start taking the photographs that might change.” Westika has until the week before Outdoor Vision Fest to finish the project, which will consist of a series of images being projected during the festival.
