On May 3, the day before the US Senate voted to begin repealing parts of the Affordable Care Act, Jackalope Magazine interviewed a group of students working on a class project that gauges how much people really know about health care. The class is Carrie Morgan Cannella’s Social Action from Message to Movement class. For the project, the students interviewed peers to try and gather their thoughts on healthcare, and how much they know about the subject.”Most people don’t really know exactly what is covered in health care plans,” says Film major, junior Haley Porter. According to Porter, the group also will create a Facebook page titled “Healing New Mexico,” which will feature more photographs of the people interviewed.
