Student Spotlight: Blythe Brooks

Contemporary Music Program senior Blythe Brooks comes to Santa Fe University of Art and Design from San Antonio, TX. Initially involved in the visual arts in junior high school, Brooks discovered music and attended the Northeast School of the Arts in San Antonio. Her instruments of choice are the trumpet, doumbeck (a Middle Eastern drum) and the African drum djembe. Brooks decided on SFUAD after attending a college fair in high school and has been here all four years. After graduation in May 2018, Brooks plans on staying local depending on the opportunities available and may eventually return to San Antonio and seek opportunities there.
