In Living Colour
SFUAD students, faculty and eager Santa Feans packed into the Shellenberger Tennis Center on the back-side of campus April 18 to see the rock-funk-metal-jazz band, Living Colour as part of the university’s Artists for Positive Social Change. Opening acts Ruder & the Shockwaves and Venus & the Lion, both consisting of Contemporary Music majors, eased the crowd into the stunningly crisp vocals of lead singer Corey Glover, 49.
Living Colour’s socially conscious lyrics and lively stage presence added to the two previous years’ performances by Ozomatli in 2013 and Public Enemy in 2012. —Nick Beckman
