Mariah Romero and Darnell Thomas, founders and chief editors of 1905 magazine, are designing their first ever all male-focused edition of their publication. Also a first is the style profile on their old Graphic Design Chairman David Grey. Grey explained his personal aesthetic and where his inspiration for color combinations and new looks comes from. Romero and Thomas hope to do more style profiles in future issues.

Liberal Arts Department Chairwoman Heather Corine hosted a spring women’s retreat April 22-24. Open to all people in her current and past classes, the retreat was focused on nourishing the creative waters. Seventeen women entered the backwoods of Taos, NM to find inner peace, but found much more. They found friendship.

The Black Student Union put on its Black History Show on Feb. 20 in The Forum to celebrate Black History Month. With help from the NAACP, the organization was able to showcase some of the best performance talent on campus.
