Portraits

Portraits are intended to show who people are. The key is to highlight characteristic traits or looks. Sometimes the subjects’ surrounding environments compliment the portrait; other times, it works better when the background is a non-informative clean surface.
This week, Jackalope photographers display the diversity of portraiture. Some of the pictures are of students, while other were taken off campus of people in the community. No photographer will capture people the same way. These portraits show a variety of techniques, environment, light, mood and direction.
